| The Great White-fronted Goose Anser albifrons - nicknamed "Specklebelly." White on front of face just above the bill and the only North American goose with orange or yellow feet and irregular black bars or blotches on its gray under parts. Bird artist B.L. Ander finds oil based colored pencils work best for such high detail images, however, they are unforgiving and do not erase like regular pencils. This goose art image, for example, took close to 100 hours to complete. |
B.L. Ander has a love for bird art, spending a great deal of time studying birds in the wild as well as in bird sanctuaries. His limited edition bird art collection is dedicated to our winged neighbors. When still a young child, B.L. Ander spent countless hours studying and duplicating the wildlife prints of John James Audubon, which was the beginning of a life-long tendency toward bird art. He enjoys the challenges of creating bird portraits in various mediums and styles. |
| Each bird art print in the B.L. Ander giclee limited edition wildlife print collection is printed with archival materials designed to produce long lasting rich color. Additionally, each giclee limited edition print is signed and numbered by B.L. Ander. This limited edition consists of 200 wildlife prints and 10 proof prints. |
